Carol Silveira has a Bachelor degree in Portuguese – English Language and Literature at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and has been working in the translation field since 2006. She started as an intern at the subtitling and dubbing company Bravo Studios, becoming one of its main copydesk editors. In 2012, she decided to become a freelance translator and proofreader and attend the Faculty of Arts – Costume and Design at Faculdade Senai Cetiqt.

During this period of greater professional freedom, she dedicated herself to other media, such as literary translation and proofreading, websites and apps translation, and also worked with live electronic subtitling for film festivals. She also has numerous titles translated on streaming platforms such as GloboPlay, HBO GO, Netflix and Amazon Prime.
